For the following purposes: to carry out an International Festival of Puppet Theaters “Toumanian Fairy Tale Day”, which will take place from September 4 - 10 with participation of theatrical troops from Turkey, Denmark, Slovenia, Georgia, Hungary, Lithuania, USA, Belgium, Japan, Czech Republic, Russia, Iran, Belarus and other countries. During the Festival days a great number of entertaining and educating activities are being organized – scenic events and fireworks, master classes in puppet art, a puppet exhibition, daily evening clubs, excursions, video demonstrations and alike. This year, there will be a new type of activity - an open-air joint puppet performance “A Drop of Honey” dedicated to tolerance and peace issue, with participation of all participating theaters. For the following purposes: to carry out the 6th International Festival for Children and Youth from October 12-16, 2010 in Yerevan and Gyumri and later in 5 regions of Armenia. Participation at the Festival is a good opportunity for Armenian children and youth to watch and become aware of good quality films produced for their age. It is expected to have more than 130 thousand people of different age groups attending the festival. At the end of the festival, the jury, comprised of children and adults, will nominate the best films. This International Festival promotes cooperation between creative film organizations worldwide and gives an opportunity for the exchange of professional experience and for further international projects. During the festival, 6 master classes, workshops, meetings and discussions with famous filmmakers in Yerevan and 2 in Gyumri will be carried out. In the framework of this project, guests and film directors from Italy, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Sweden, Lithuania, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Turkey will participate at the festival this year

The www.parliamentmonitoring.am website will serve as a space to provide the general public with information on the draft laws passing National Assembly hearings, voting records of the Members of Parliament, draft laws proposed by them as well as will feature expert opinions on the laws; the website will be upgraded with a search engine enabling easy access to the MPs voting records through various keywords

Purpose:

 

For the following purposes: to carry out journalistic investigations in the rural places of Armenia in order to further investigate the impact of the financial-economic crisis, specifically loan-taking processes effecting on rural people. The project will more focus on those families who lost their houses and lands because of agricultural bank loans. The project will also investigate transparency of state budget spending and the effectiveness and transparency of its anti-economic projects. The investigative stories will also cover the issues of transparency, accountability and effectiveness of the organizations funded in the framework of the adopted State Anti-Crisis Action Plan to carry out anti-crisis projects in the regions of Armenia. The project targets most vulnerable population, including but not limited to children, women and old people. During the project implementation, 33 investigative articles and 220 news stories covering the above mentioned issues will be published in two languages in www.hetq.am online journal and in “Hetq” weekly newspaper with 4000 copies. 1100 copies will be distributed with “Hetq” newspaper and 2900 inserts will be disseminated free of charge in Yerevan and in the regions of Armenia. The project also plans to organize 6 round-table discussions to highlight the cases and issues revealed during the project
