Do you want to use the passion, ingenuity and dynamism to remove social barriers and create new opportunities that will change the life of your community? And you already have a great idea how to do it? Then hurry up to apply - this opportunity is exactly for you!!!

OSF-Armenia’s Youth Action Fund is a new initiative aimed at supporting youth designed and youth led initiatives. The purpose of the Youth Action Fund is to identify, inspire, and support individuals and/or small groups of dedicated young people who can mobilize and influence large numbers of their peers to promote open society ideals. We are currently seeking innovative proposals from youth focusing on issues which promote open society values. So far the Foundation within this initiative funded around 30 projects on education, youth employment, environment, corruption, protection of public spaces, human rights protection, elections and electoral rights protection, freedom of speech, etc.

This small grant fund is aimed at utilizing the knowledge, skills and motivation of young people in addressing community level problems or bringing attention to global issues through support to innovative and challenging ideas.

Note to an applicant:
We value innovative ideas and techniques and encourage participants to send us proposals that include action steps that go beyond just holding trainings, meetings and seminars. Try to be creative - projects focusing on trainings, discussions, seminars will not be considered.

Open to:
The call is open to young individuals, informal civil society youth groups and youth movements.

Eligibility:

• Applicants aged  between 18-25 years who are citizens or legal residents in the Republic of Armenia currently residing in Armenia
• Applicants may partner with an NGO but OSF-Armenia will not accept proposals from organizations

Budget:
The requested budget for an initiative should not exceed 350,000 AMD. No honoraria shall be included in the budget. The provided budget shall be spent on the activities of the initiative only.

IMPORTANT DATES

• Application deadline is November 27, 15:00 pm., 2012
• Applicants will be notified about the results in December 2012
• The start of the planned initiative shall be not sooner then January 1, 2013
